HackThisSite.org is a legal and safe platform that provides training to hackers to test and expand their ethical hacking skills through CTFs, challenges, and more.
Active since 2003, we are more than just another hacker wargames site. We are a living, breathing community devoted to learning and sharing ethical hacking knowledge, technical hobbies, and programming expertise, with many active projects in development. Challenges
There are total 9 challenges in Hackthissite.org
Basic
- In Basic, 11 basic levels help you to familiarize yourself with HTTP, javascript,ff, etc…
- There are tips on how can we find information by source code and dev Tool or with the help of a browser.
Realistic
- In the Realistic challenge we have given real-life scenarios with the help of given information we need to complete the task.
- there are also Difficulty ratings from easy to unknown levels.
Application
- In Application Challenges, you are presented with an application and an objective. You are expected to manipulate the operating system, the executable, or use other means to complete the level.
- Also in each challenge, we need to use different methods to solve levels.
- Once you finish the challenge, you will receive a password to update your HTS account, indicating completion of the level.
- NOTE:- All application challenges can be beaten without brute-forcing.
Programming
- The programming challenges involve reviewing and solving programs.
- We have difficulty ratings and a set time limit to answer the questions.
javascript
- To solve the javascript level we need to understand js to some sartan extint.
- we need to find the password to complete the levels.
- the javascript challenge can be confusing so if you are stuck on level ask on Discord.
Forensic
- The Forensic Missions are designed to test your skills in finding that which isn’t there.
- “We have three missions and we have been given a scenario to solve a problem."
- we need to have a password to solve missions.
Extended Basic
- “Extended Basic comprises of 14 challenges, with each task presented in a different language.”
- In this challenge, we need to know different languages, if stuck on any task just do Google.
Steganography
- Steganography is the technique of hiding data within an ordinary, nonsecret file or message to avoid detection.
- In steganography, we have 17 levels, each with a different task to complete. To complete a level, we have to check.
IRC
- The IRC challenge is not available at the moment. If it becomes available, we will update this write-up.
